Awards
COMCAS recognizes outstanding work through:
-
The Mini-Circuits Harvey Kaylie Best Paper Award
-
The Mini-Circuits Harvey Kaylie Best Student Paper Award
-
The European Microwave Association (EuMA) Student Paper Award
Eligibility: a full paper of 4–6 pages, already submitted and accepted (you should have received notification). Student awards require the first author to be a student who personally presents the paper.
Submission Requirements
Strictly enforced — review before you upload:
-
Submit through the COMCAS Manuscript Submission site. Multiple papers each need their own submission.
-
PDF only. Convert Word or LaTeX files before uploading — IEEE PDF eXpress handles this for free (details below).
-
Stay within 6 pages and 10 MB.
-
Fill in every field the submission system asks for.
-
Write in English.
-
Follow the official template — full papers and summaries each have their own, in US or International page size.
-
Lead with the title, authors, and affiliations, matching what you enter in the system.
-
Expect a Technical Program Committee review for layout and quality.
-
Original content only. Submissions are checked for plagiarism, including self-reuse from prior publications or earlier COMCAS papers — flagged content risks rejection.
Use this final submission to fold in reviewer feedback, fix anything flagged in your initial draft, and add any new data or results.
Before You Submit — Quick Checklist
-
Proofread your manuscript and confirm it matches the template exactly — Xplore-bound papers that don't will be bounced back for resubmission.
-
Convert it to PDF.
-
Upload it, with all required fields, on the COMCAS Manuscript Submission page.
Fine Print
-
Travel and registration costs are the presenter's own responsibility.
-
Final submissions require a completed IEEE copyright authorization form (built into the process below).
Step-by-Step: Submitting Through EDAS
Submitting more than one paper? Repeat these steps for each.
1. Prepare your manuscript
Download the Word template or LaTeX instructions from the Templates & Links page.
2. Convert to PDF via IEEE PDF eXpress
Head to ieee-pdf-express.org.
-
New here? Click "New Users," then enter Conference ID 58210X, your email, and a password. You'll get both an on-screen and email confirmation.
-
Used it before? Log in with your existing PDF eXpress credentials — note this is a separate system from EDAS, so passwords may differ.
Upload your paper and PDF eXpress will email back a converted, IEEE-compliant PDF (or flag what needs fixing).
Worth doing even if you already have a PDF — IEEE Xplore's formatting checks are strict, and this step catches problems before EDAS does. For help, contact IEEE Support directly (search "PDF Express") — COMCAS staff and EDAS can't assist with this system.
3. Log in to EDAS
Go to edas.info/N30559 and sign in with your original submission credentials — don't create a new account. Forgot your password? Use the reset link, or email help@edas-help.com for persistent issues.
4. Review your paper's info
Navigate to My... → My Papers. From here, update author details — add authors (the "+" icon), edit existing ones (the pencil icon), or adjust affiliations.
5. Sign the IEEE copyright form
On your Paper Information page, click the cross icon next to Copyright, then "IEEE Copyright Submission." Follow the prompts — including confirming whether the paper was authored/presented by US or UK Government employees — and you'll be routed back to EDAS automatically. Want a saved copy? Use "File name for scanned copyright form" (skip the "Special Copyright Stamp" option).
6. Upload your final manuscript
Find the cloud icon labeled "Final Manuscript" and upload your file. Do this after completing PDF eXpress (Step 2) — it saves you from failing Xplore's formatting checks after the fact.
7. You're done — for now
Log out from the Home menu. Changes still needed before 4 September? Log back in at edas.info/N30559 and re-upload via the same cloud icon, as many times as you need.
